Howard J. Schroer

July 5, 1943 - September 1, 2025

Howard Joseph Schroer, age 82, of Lincoln, passed away on September 1, 2025. He was born July 5, 1943, in Hastings, Nebraska, to Arthur and Lillian (Kotinek) Schroer.

Howard retired after 35 years with Burlington Northern Railroad.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Agnes; children, Brad (Claudia) Schroer, Bruce (April) Schroer, and Laura (Brad) Brawner; grandchildren, Andrew Schroer, Mathew Schroer, Rachel (Nick Maroney) Schroer, Denyn Brawner, and Zoe Brawner; siblings, Marilyn Stark, Jim (Marilyn) Schroer, Bob (Jeanne) Schroer, and Jack Schroer; and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Rosary at 10:30 a.m., at St. Michael Catholic Church, 9101 S. 78th Street, Lincoln. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Catholic Social Services or the Alzheimer's Association.
