Howard G. Williamson, born on July 21, 1944, in
Greensboro, NC, went heavenly home on February 7, 2026, at the age of 81. He departed this world surrounded by his loving daughter Kimberly, nephew Bryan, cherished family friends, and their beloved dog Bella.
Howard will forever be remembered for his strong will and passionate love for life. His interests were as diverse as they were dear to him; he cherished time spent with family and friends, found joy in the beauty of the beach, and had a deep appreciation for gardening and nature. An avid sports enthusiast, Howard enjoyed all forms of sports and treasured evenings spent with friends, where high back chairs and music added to the camaraderie. He was known for cultivating the best tomatoes and shared his love for fresh produce with everyone around him.
Preceded in death by his parents, "Polly" and Marvin Williamson, as well as his brothers Sonny and Jerry Williamson, Howard leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Kimberly Williamson, two grandchildren, Christopher Campbell and Shawn Henley, and three great-grandchildren, Noel and Isaac Campbell, and Shawanna Henley. His memory also lives on through his nephew Bryan Williamson and his family, along with countless friends who were touched by his generous spirit.
A memorial service to honor Howard's life will be held at a later date, allowing family and friends to gather and celebrate his remarkable journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to any animal rescue organization or nature-related cause, or simply perform a kindness for another in Howard's memory.
