Hoyt Gary Hulsey, 91, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January 31, 1934 in Marietta Georgia, Hoyt was the son of the late Henry F. Hulsey and Maudie Covington Hulsey. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruby Hamby Hulsey and son, Gary Hulsey and his sister, Carol Hulsey Stancil.

Hoyt was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his two children, Patsy Salmon and her husband, Steve of Resaca, and his son, Alan Hulsey of Griffin, his grandchildren Danielle Haygood (James), Michelle Thacker (Ryan) and Spencer Hulsey and his great-grandchildren Will Thacker and Hannah Thacker, as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Throughout his life, Hoyt was known for his love of horses and NASCAR racing.

His legacy will live on through the memories we shared, the values he instilled in us, and the love he gave. We take solace in knowing that he is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before him.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion to his family, and treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A memorial service to celebrate Hoyt's life will be held on October 25, 2025 at 1:00pm at The Church of God of the Union Assembly at 589 State Route 20 Spur SE in Cartersville, Georgia. Pastor Jamie Haygood and Pastor Leon Allen will officiate.
