Hubert Bowens Obituary
Hubert was born December 18, 1955 in Martin County, Kentucky, son of the late Nim Rod Bowens and Ruth Setser Sunday. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and two deceased grandsons, Zachary Nathenial Spradlin and Bradley Isiah Spradlin.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Kay O'Brian Bowens whom he married on August 9, 1975; one daughter, Tonya Lee (Shawn) Palmer of Hurricane, West Virginia; one granddaughter, Chelsey Raye Spradlin; two brothers, David (Linda) Bowens of Grove City, Ohio and Rodney Bowens of Lawrence County, Kentucky; three sisters, Patricia Banks of Louisa, Kentucky, Linda (Mike) Pate of Riceville, Kentucky and Lorraine Vance of Johnson County, Kentucky; and special caregivers, Dona Poe and Todd Flowers.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Nick O'Brian and Tracy Spradlin officiating. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
