Hubert G. Buchanan was born on October 21, 1943, to Hubert G. Howard Sr. and Vera Mosby Grier. He was educated at Central High School, later joined the Military, and then became an employee at a printing company in Kansas City, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Eric Wilson and Omar Wilson, three sisters Denise Buchanan, Gwendolyn Coleman, and Sandra Cornwell, a special uncle Donald Mosby and three grandchildren Yushawn, Omar, and Ericka Wilson. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Hubert departed this life on April 21, 2025. He leaves behind his wife Hazel Buchanan, four sons Hubert Buchanan Jr., Kerriem Wilson, Yusef Wilson, and Noah Buchanan, three daughters Shelia Buchanan, Margaret Wilson, and Ameenah Wilson, two sisters Connie Cox Buchanan and Joyce Mosby, 34 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and long-time friends.
