Jacquelyn Yvonne "Jackie" Watson

Jacquelyn Yvonne Watson, age 85, of Aubrey, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026. Jackie, as she was fondly called by friends and family, was born to Clarence and Thelma (Horton) October 19, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri.

A native of Kansas City, Missouri, for most of her life, Jackie graduated from Central High School. She built her career in customer service at the Kansas City Gas Company before later retiring from Blue Cross Blue Shield of KC.

Jackie was a wonderful grandmother to a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved music and cooking, especially grilling. Jackie loved to watch cooking shows. "Nana" as she was lovingly called by all her grandchildren, cherished every moment with her family, who brought her great joy.

Jacquelyn is survived by her children, Lisa Wooten (Duane) of Omaha, Nebraska, Jennifer Opra of Aubrey, Texas; all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and a nephew.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Thelma Berry; her sister, Patricia Redmond; her brothers Thomas Berry and Maurice Berry; and her son-in-law, Vladimir Opra.

Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved her.
