Mr. Hubert Glenn Fields, age 85, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at his home, surrounded by loved ones. He was born May 24, 1939, in Big Cedar, Oklahoma, to parents Hubert Olan and Mary Jewell (Holleman) Fields.
Mr. Hubert Glenn Fields was a welder by profession, and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Glenn was known as an avid outdoorsman, loving to go hunting, fishing, and trapping. He also enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, gardening, watching ball games and going to any of his grandkid's activities. His favorite day of the week was Sunday, when he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and reading the Sunday paper.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Olan and Mary Jewell (Holleman) Fields; his beloved wife of 57 years, Norma Fields; brothers, Harold Dean and Dale; sisters, Jean Ellen, Melba, and Yvonne; and by one niece, Tanya Denton; nephews, John Fields, Mike Smith, and Marty Wright. He is survived by daughters, Carla Humphreys and husband Tim, Sherie Hartin and husband Johnnie; grandchildren, Ariel Hartin, Emily Gundy, Austin Hartin and wife Hallee, Tucker Hartin; great-grandchildren, Preslee Hartin, Penelope Gundy and two unborn great grandchildren; brother, Larry Fields and wife Susie; special friends, Don Hopper, Hoot Davis, Terry Belknap, Lloyd Murry and R.E. Hudson; as well as by a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends too numerous to mention.
Services for Mr. Hubert Glenn Fields will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Beasley-Wood Chapel in Mena, Arkansas. Brother Jerry Ford will be officiating under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers are Austin Hartin, Tucker Hartin, Johnnie Hartin, Brandon Kline, Joe Badger, Tyler Simpson, and Tim Humphreys. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
