I never got a chance to meet Dr. Faulkner-Jones but knew of him through my mother who is co-founder of the Michigan Association of Black Psychologists. I have carried on his (and her) legacy by helping to sustain this group in metro Detroit. I heard of his good works in the community and we hope we can make him proud by continuing the work of Black psychologists. We will call out his name at the upcoming national convention of the Association of Black Psychologists this July, along with other pioneers to whom we are so very thankful for paving the way to up and coming Black psychologists in Michigan. Sending my thoughts and prayers to the family including Mr. Jim Ferguson who I spoke to briefly via phone prior to 2018. Thank you for taking good care of him.

Ron Hopson here! Oh, i'm so sad to learn Hugh died. My goodness, he was so important to me personally and professionally, and got me to the wonderful Thomas family. Without him I would have never survived Michigan State! Thinking of all of you at this time. Much much love, Ron
