Hugh R. Renck, 74, of North Strabane, formerly of Bright, Ind., passed away peacefully, with family by his side, Saturday, August 27, 2022.
Born December 5, 1947, he was a son of the late Wanda and Edgar Renck.
He was the beloved husband of Kathy Tour Renck for 48 years; dear brother of Melanie (the late Lee) Alexander, Lawrence (Eloise) Renck, and Mary Ellen (Janice) Renck; son-in-law of the late Katherine Tour; brother-in-law of Rose (Joe) Ussia and the late Nicholas Tour. He is also survived by many loved and cherished nieces, nephews and friends.
Hugh loved traveling, trains and history. He was a prolific reader and a wine enthusiast. Hugh was selfless, he never met a stranger, and was always putting others in front of himself.
He was a devoted North Strabane Township Sanitary Authority Board member and was the HOA president of the Indian Ridge Neighborhood. He adored his wife, and she adored him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Saturday, September 3, in Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.
