Hugh Dell West

Hugh Dell West, 84, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024. He was born on August 3, 1939, to the late Forrest Odell and Lillie Bertie West. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter in 1962, Angela Charisse West, and sister and brother-in-law, Peggie and A.B. Sutherland

Hugh Dell served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. 

Hugh Dell is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dollie Ann West; his children, Todd West, Tami West, and Tara West; grandchildren, Ericka Kile, Cassidy Seuradge, Chloe Jacobs, Robby Rogers, Will Rogers; great-grandchildren, Weston Kile, Dawson Kile, Jaxon Kile, Kyzer Kile, and Lili Anna Jacobs. Other survivors include Mike and Myra Stamey, Gary and Joan Sutherland, and Kurt and Darci Sutherland. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Heritage Baptist Church. 

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM from Heritage Baptist Church with Rev. Shane Parrott and Pastor Jerry Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery with Rev. Dudley Meadows officiating. Pallbearers are Lamar Reynolds, Paul Haney, Tracy Tatum, John O’Neal, Steve Godwin, and Shane Swift. Honorary pallbearers are Dale Bentley, Buddy Moss, Steve Williams, Richard Cooper, Eddie Green, and Estes Pass.
