Hugh Williams, 78,, a lifelong member of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 14, 2025. He was one of nine kids.
He is survived by his three children; Anna (Craig), Randy, and LeRoy (Celina) ; 11 grandkids, Miranda, Hillary, Morgan (Leon), Jordan (Amanda), Leroy Jr., Katlyn, Maverick, Shaneice (Jonathon), Donovan, Allyssa and Randy Jr., seven great- grandkids, Lyanna, Kashton, Danni, Ezriel, Daisy, Hayes, and Baby Pough; his sister, Esther, and brothers Jimmy, David, Don, Ron, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ruth; and his siblings, Lester, Wanda, and Charles.
Hugh graduated from the New Mexico School for the deaf. He worked many years as a meat cutter.
Aside from his family, what Hugh loved the most was hunting and fishing. He was also an avid sports fan, and loved watching the Cowboys, the Dodgers and the Lobos.
A Celebration of Life will be held at FRENCH- Lomas at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 1, 2025. He will be laid to rest following the service at Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jordan, Leroy Jr., Maverick, Leon, Jonathon, and family friends Frank and Dave.
The family would like to express a special thank you to his sister- in- law, Deborah Williams for her generous gift.
Hugh will be greatly missed.
