Hugh Thomas Wright

Mr. Hugh Thomas Wright, age 74, of Cave Spring, GA, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, at a hospital in Rome, GA.
Mr. Wright was born in Cedartown, GA, on January 19, 1951, son of the Late James Lewis Wright and the late Mary Magdalene Hicks Wright. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Brandy Wright, and by a brother, James Stanley Wright. Mr. Wright was a graduate of Cave Spring High School. He was an electrician for his entire working career, spending 30 years with Murata Erie in Rockmart and then working for himself until his retirement. Mr. Wright was a simple man. He was a self-described backwoods country guy who loved nothing more than being outdoors. Mr. Wright preferred the solace of nature rather than the hustle and bustle of the city. He loved riding his motorcycles in his younger days and was known as the jeep man around Cave Spring, always having his k-9 companion in his lap.
Survivors include his loving wife, Yvonne Bagley Wright, Cave Spring, to whom he was married on July 28, 1973; two children, Stoney Scott Wright (Amber), and Kelly Wright Rittenhouse (Jeremy), both of Cave Spring; 5 grandchildren, Ella Brewer, Jayde Brewer, Stoney Austin Wright, Hadley Wright, and Larson Wright; 2 sisters, Mary Richie (Don), and Kathy White; his beloved fur baby, Harley; numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Wright will be cremated and a Celebration of his Life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 1pm until service time in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
