Mr. Hughey Cleveland Gresham

Mr. Hughey Cleveland Gresham, 77, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, with his loving family by his side. He honorably dedicated a part of his life to the United States Marine Corps, a commitment that profoundly influenced his character and guiding principles.

He found joy in fishing, following Alabama football and NASCAR, and was naturally skilled at carpentry, adeptly repairing nail guns and working with his hands. He proudly established "A Flag for My Brothers" program, in tribute to his brothers, showcasing his deep loyalty and sense of service.

Some of his most cherished moments were spent traveling to Disney alongside his wife, Gail, indulging in westerns and Heartland, but above all, enjoying quality time with his loved ones. As a devoted father, he took immense pride in his role as a dad.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Claude and Nora Lee Bell Gresham; his wife, Gail Gresham; one daughter, Sherry Gresham; six brothers, Carlton Gresham, Bobby Ray Gresham, Eugene Gresham, William Gresham, Donald Gresham, Ronald Gresham; and two sisters, Mary Louise Howington and Rose Lee Lambert.

Mr. Gresham is survived by his three sons, Mark Gresham of Monroeville, Alabama; Michael (Laura) Gresham of Atmore, Alabama; and Cody Gresham of Monroeville, Alabama; three daughters, Julie (Patrick) Brown of Moundville, Alabama; Vickie (Richie) Souther of Dallas, Georgia; Nicolle Gresham (Ken Barclay) of Dallas, Georgia; three sisters, Marie Peebles of Flomaton, Alabama; Carolyn (Robert) Smith of Byrneville, Florida; Frances (Randy) Warren of Kerrens, Texas; and a legacy of seven grandchildren, Adrian (Amber) Wilson, Destini Wilson, Tevyn Wilson, Patrick Brown, Jr; Malcolm Davis, Ryan Souther, Nova Leigh Barclay and six great-grandchildren, Sophia, Skylar, Harper, A'Leya, Malcolm, Jr; and Mason.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Petty Funeral Homes, LLC, with Reverend Fred Stallworth officiating.

Burial will take place afterward at Travelers Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be held on the same day from 11:00 AM until the service begins at 11:30 AM at Petty Funeral Homes, LLC.

The pallbearers include Dewayne Gresham, Adrian Wilson, Tevyn Wilson, Patrick Brown, Malcolm Davis, and Richie Souther.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC Atmore, Alabama is in charge of all arrangements
