Hulon Hodges Jr. was born on February 9, 1971, to Hulon Hodges Sr.
and Bernice Hodges in Houston, Texas. He was raised in the
Hillwood community and attended Law Elementary, Woodson Jr.
High, and Worthing Senior High School.
As a child, Hulon loved horses, and his first horse was an Appaloosa
named Silverdollar. He also had a passion for cars, music, and
sports. Hulon was a caring, loving, and humorous man with a
personality that drew others to him. He cherished spending quality
time with family and friends.
Hulon accepted Christ at an early age and maintained his faith
throughout his life. He was a proud father and grandfather to his
three sons, daughter, and granddaughter.
On August 15, 2025, Hulon Hodges Jr. entered eternal rest. He is
preceded in death by his father, Hulon Hodges Sr.; brother, Robert
Earl Hodges; maternal grandparents, Rosie Lee and Horace Harris;
and paternal grandparents, Mamie and Charlie Hodges Sr.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his mother, Bernice
Hodges; two sisters, Patrice Harris and Tanya Hodges; sons, Jarvis
Hodges (JaBoria), Traverion Hodges, and Keyshawn Boyd; daughter,
Jakayla West; granddaughter, Kylie Hodges; nephew, D'Andre
Webb; aunt, Annie Lee Benton; and a host of cousins, friends, and
loved ones.
