Hung Nguyen Obituary
Born on January 1,1952 in Karasin, Thailand, Hung came to the United States in October 1975, with hopes of building a brighter future for his family. As a refugee, he worked tirelessly and with unwavering determination, spending many years as a knitter in a clothing manufacturing company before later becoming a material handler for a pharmaceutical company, where he remained until retirement.
Hung also had a love for music. He enjoyed playing guitar, drums, keyboards, and singing, and he found joy in soccer, watching sports, dancing, and being with family. His warmth, humor, and gentle spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
Hung was preceded in death by his parents: Quy Quy Nguyen and Duc Thi Do; his American sponsors: Donald and Meridian Fulton; and his twin daughter, XuanLan Nguyen.
Hung is survived by his life partner, Xuan Nguyen; his daughters and their spouses, Thailan Oliveras (former spouse, Maximo), Catherine Kidd (Christopher), Jennifer Smith (Baron). He leaves behind eleven grandchildren - Rashia White, Tiara Arnold, Michelle Ayala (Calvin), Zachary Farkas-Kidd, Ziahnnah Lopez (Edwin), Delano McKenzie (Ashley Temlin), Makayla Smith, Emmi Smith, Blanca Oliveras, Camille Oliveras, and Kennedy Smith - and five great-grandchildren: Aubrey Rodriguez, Esrian Mashraki, Isabelle McKenzie, Diem Ayala, and Desmond Lopez.
He is also survived by eight sisters: Lien, Hiep, Huong, Hoa, Lai, Oanh, Dao, and Nguyet Nguyen - and four brothers: Tien, Cuong, Thuy, and Ngan Nguyen, as well as their spouses, countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services: A viewing will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 9-11 AM at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 1629 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA 18102. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Road, Allentown, PA 18109. www.BKRFH.com
