TECUMSEH – Hunter Alexander Boyd, age 28, of Tecumseh, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on March 19, 1997 in Adrian, to Krysta Keller and Brad Boyd. Hunter attended and graduated from Tecumseh High School, and then attended Western Michigan University as a music major. He worked as an inventory manager for Pure Cannabis Outlet in Monroe, where he had many friends. Hunter and his fiancée, Tabitha Rychener, made their relationship official on January 12, 2023, and were engaged January 12, 2024. Their wedding would have been this coming September.
Hunter was a very kind-hearted person. He would do anything for anyone and was very passionate about the people and things he loved. He also had a deep love for all animals, especially his dog, cats, and salamander. Hunter also had a love for kids and was wonderful with children, including his niece and little cousins, and would have been a wonderful father himself. Hunter was very musically talented, playing the guitar and bass guitar, and performed in many theatrical musical productions. He can also be described as a very smart and witty person.
Surviving Hunter is his mother and step-father, Krysta and Joedie McLaughlin; brother, Dustin McLaughlin; sister, Jessica (Kyle) Wright; grandmother, Carolyn Keller; fiancée, Tabitha Rychener; niece, Elora Wright; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Les and Kathy Boyd; and an uncle, Jason McLaughlin.
