With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Huong Thi Nguyen, a beloved matriarch, who departed this life on September 10, 2025, at the age of 94. Huong was born on March 8, 1931, in Thu Dau Mot, Vietnam, and she later made her home in Fairfield, Ohio.
As a homemaker, Huong dedicated her life to nurturing her family with love and care. Her role extended far beyond traditional responsibilities; she was a source of wisdom, strength, and joy within her family. Huong's spirit embraced the rich cultural heritage of her Vietnamese roots, and she found great joy in the performances of Vietnamese opera (cai luong), a reflection of her deep connection to her heritage.
In a remarkable turn of her life, at the age of 50, Huong chose to pursue a monastic path, embracing the tranquility and introspection it brought. This decision was a testament to her enduring quest for peace and enlightenment.
She leaves behind a grieving but grateful family, including her daughters, Sen Vo, Dang (Hanh Huu Le) Vo, and Tuyet Mai (Hiep Xinh Tran) Vo. Huong also cherished her grandchildren, Tuyet Trang Vo, Toai (Quy Kim Tran) Le, Thien Le, Nguyet Nga (Tung Thanh Nguyen) Vo, Phuong Quyen Vo, Cong (Han Ngoc Pham) Tran, Aracely Echeverria, and her great-grandchildren: Tamilynn Roberts, Tavin Roberts, Nam Le, An Le, Phuong Nhi Nguyen, Phuong Nhien Nguyen, Dan Thanh Tran, and Thanh Tran.

Huong was preceded in death by her husband, Bong Vo, parents, Phu Nguyen and Tran Phien, son, Minh Vo, and daughter, Thu Vo, and grandson, Minh Hai Khac Vo.
Family and friends will gather beginning at 9:30am on Saturday, September 13th, 2025 at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. Services will start at 10:00am at the funeral home. Following the service, cremation will take place.

As we bid farewell to Huong, we carry her legacy of love and resilience in our hearts, a light that will continue to guide us. May she rest in peace.
