I.J. Parish, 84, of Saginaw departed this life Monday, December 10, 2012 at Arkansas Heart Hospital. He was born on September 17, 1928 and raised in Hot Spring County to the late Authur and Florance (Sandage) Parish. He met his love, Mary Jo (Dawson) Parish, at a play party at the store in Saginaw. They were married on September 25, 1947 and just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Isaac worked 37 years at Reynolds Metal Co. in Jones Mill. He loved raising his cattle, cat fishing on the Arkansas River and at Lake Dardanelle, and gardening. He was a loving family man who devoted his life to his wife and family. Left to cherish his memories are wife; three sons – Larry Parish and wife Susan, Lenny (Tinker) Parish and wife Paula, Bobby Parish and wife Shirley; 11 grandchildren – Felicia (Paul) Ruckstuhl, Greg (Tiffany) Parish, Lynette (Jeremy) Smith, Josh Parish, Stacey (Ryan) Parish, MacKinzy (Raymond) Chaney, Matthew (Laura) Parish, B.J. (Jenni) Parish, Kassy (Scotty) Starr, Taylor Hethcox, Jake Parish; 13 great- grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers – Ola Faye Lane, RC (Buck) Parish, Betty Jo Hughes, Opal Hughes, Hubert Parish; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family. He is preceded in death by his parents and four sisters – Wilma Spurlin, Ethelene Lane, Dessie Eudy, and Lorene Hughes. Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 12, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Atkinson Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Atkinson Chapel with Clarence "Dooley" Fowler and Alan Cansler officiating. Interment will be at Social Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be four of his grandsons, Greg, Matthew, B.J., and Jake, and three of his grandson-in-laws, Paul, Jeremy, and Raymond. Honorary Pallbearers will be his co-workers from Reynolds. Arrangements entrusted to Atkinson Funeral Home of Malvern, AR.
