Iaasac McKinney

Isaac McKinney, age 44, of Clayton, N.C., and formerly of Johnson City, Tenn., passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, with his wife and mother by his side.

Born in Johnson City, Isaac lived life to the fullest and found joy in every moment. He carried his Appalachian roots proudly. Known for his humor and memorable "dad jokes," he loved bringing smiles to those around him. He had a servant's heart and never hesitated to help others.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, W.J. and Reva Dean Bryant, and his paternal grandparents, Gurnie and Edna McKinney.

Isaac is survived by his wife, Diane McKinney; his parents, Vonda and Michael McKinney; and his beloved dog companions, Gizzy and Kona-Bear.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Manes Funeral Home in Newport, Tenn. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., followed by the service at 2 p.m. A private graveside service for family will be held at the Webb Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Washington County Animal Shelter or the Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter.
