Ian Fredrick Hansen

Ian Fredrick Hansen, 36, of McHenry, IL has passed way too soon on October 12th, 2018. He was a loving and caring husband, father, son, brother and friend to all. Ian grew up in and around Mchenry, Illinois. When he turned 18 years old, he started an apprenticeship and schooling to become a Local 1 Ironworker. Ian was an Ironworker until surgeries from a hereditary condition made it impossible for him to continue in his career. Ian made friends with everyone he met. He had a huge heart and would help anyone if he was capable. Ian spent his time with his family and friends and focused his attention on staying free from his alcoholism and also being a pack leader for the local Cub Scout Pack 311, which he did with his son. Ian is survived by his wife of 10 years Samantha, son Dillan (9 years old), daughters Aubree (11 years old) and Mackenzie (6 years old), parents Kai Gary Hansen and Bonnie Mathews, brother Kai David (Tara) Hansen, nieces Caitlyn and Skyler, nephew Elijah, and many loving extended family members. A wake will be held at Meadowland Church, 4815 N Johnsburg Rd, Johnsburg, IL 60051, from 11 until 2. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2 on Saturday, October 27th, 2018.
