Son, brother, friend
Ian Jeffrey Wilson, 68, died Friday, January 9, 2026. He was born July 29, 1958 in Marshall, Missouri. Jeff passed away at home after many years of managing diabetes and kidney disease.
Jeff was a gifted potter, an avid ham radio operator, a DJ for many years on KDWA talk radio in Hastings, MN and recently retired from Quality One Woodwork, Inc. in Hastings, MN, where he worked for 23 years as a Manager of Information Technology. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Blackburn University in Carlinville, IL. Jeff graduated from Century Community and Technical College with a certificate in Visual Basic Application Programming and an Associate in Science Degree – Software Technologies.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Susan Youngdahl (Robert Fyfe); his sisters, Megara Gutierrez, Janet Youngdahl, Emily Wright (Doug Wright); brothers, Jason Wilson, Ben Wilson, David Youngdahl and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father James, aka Scott Wilson.
He wanted to live longer and take more train rides but as he said in his unsigned will “Hi everyone! It was wonderful to share this earth with you but as time would have it, I had to go”.
Celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
