Joann Schmitz Obituary
She was married in Menomonie on May 29, 1965, to Jerome Schmitz who preceded her in death on September 8, 1996.
Joann enjoyed to crochet, work on needlepoint, and to read. She also enjoyed learning about the royals of Europe and history in general.
She is survived by her two sons, Matthew Schmitz of Prescott and Philip Schmitz of Clayton; daughter, Patricia Schmitz of Minneapolis; and other family and friends. Joann was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Schmitz; sons, Andrew and Mark Schmitz.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, March 20, 2026, at St. Ann Catholic Church, Turtle Lake with Father Kanna officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Skinner Funeral Home in Turtle Lake.
Skinner Funeral Home of Turtle Lake is serving the family.
