I.B. "Bud" Cantrell, Jr

I.B. “Bud” Cantrell, Jr., 77, of Folkston, GA passed away at his home August 26, 2025. He was born August 11, 1948 in Waycross, GA to the late I.B. Cantrell, Sr. and Corrie Cantrell. He retired as an Engineer with CSX Railroad after almost 40 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Folkston.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Gayle Peeples Cantrell; 4-daughters & sons-in-law: Lisa & Joey Henderson, Jana & Steve Faust, Kim & Chad Lee and Brittany & Timothy Philman; 12-grandchildren: Brandon Geiger, Aaron (Sadie) Geiger, Michael (Lindsay) Henderson, Megan (Bryan) Lloyd, Ethan (Lauren) Faust, Dustin (Maddie) Faust, Gage Lee, Kauri Lee, Brodie Lee, Trenton Philman, Peyton Philman and Braleigh Philman; 13-great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 30 at noon in the chapel of Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
