Ida Abeel Obituary
Ida graduated from nursing school and the Wilford Beauty Academy.
She was a hairdresser during her career and worked at KinderCare and the Pine Brook School in the Manalapan-Englishtown School District for many years.
She was a commissioner for Atlantic Highlands, a historian at Sandy Hook Lighthouse, and a member of the Republican Club.
She was predeceased by two children, Scott Abeel and Paula Abeel-Voss.
She is survived by her five loving children, Mark, Marie, Patric, William, and Michael; seven grandchildren; a great grandson, Alex; and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold.
