Ida Belle Botley, age 82, of Kansas City, Missouri, was born on November 23, 1943. She was a woman of strength, resilience, and deep love, whose life touched countless people.
Ida was truly a mother to many. She worked tirelessly at the Folgers Coffee Company to provide for and care for her six children: Beatrice, Anthony, Kasandra, Vernon, Pamela,and her beloved baby boy, Nathaniel. Her dedication to her family never wavered, and her home and heart were always open.
A fierce and determined fighter, Ida was a multiple-time cancer survivor, bravely battling breast, brain, eye, and kidney cancer. Through every challenge, she showed extraordinary courage, faith, and perseverance, inspiring everyone who knew her.
Ida departed this life February .07.2026 , Ida was preceded in death by her son, Vernon Lamont Botley; her grandparents, Albertha and Vernon White; her parents, Beatrice and Marshall P. Botley; her aunt, Nolan; her sisters, Joyce L. Botley, Jo Anna Jackson, Albertha Monroe, and Delores Taylor; and her brothers, Marshall Botley and Herman Botley Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving siblings, Katherine Grier, Carolyn Johnson, and Matthew Botley; her children; and a host of grandchildren, along with many extended family members and loved ones who were blessed to know her.
Ida Belle Botley will be remembered for her strength, hard work, unconditional love, and the lasting impact she made on generations of her family and community.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday February 21, 2026 at Golden Gate Funeral and Cremation Services 2800 East 18th Street KCMO 64127. The viewing is scheduled 9am-11am. The service will follow at 11:00am
