Ida Mae Dauterive Marks

New Iberia, LA – A graveside service for Mrs. Ida Mae Marks 88, the former Ida Mae Dauterive, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Saint Edward Catholic Church Cemetery (Dale Street).
Visitation will be observed at Fletcher Funeral Home on Saturday, September 30, 2023, beginning at 8:00 A.M. until 9:30 A.M. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 A.M.
Ida was a native and resident of New Iberia, LA. She passed at 8:39 P.M. on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, LA.
Ida was a parishioner of Saint Edward Catholic Church. She served as a Minister of Hospitality and was a former member of the Saint Edward Catholic Church Booster Club. Ida was employed by the Iberia Parish School Board for many years as a custodian.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons: Quinn Dauterive (Yolanda) of New Iberia, LA and Grant Marks (Lizzie Ledet) of New Iberia, LA; two brothers: Damien Dauterive and Pierce Dauterive of New Iberia, LA; one sister-in-law: Cecile Dauterive of Opelousas, LA; eight grandchildren: Yolandria M. Dauterive of Prairieville, LA, TaQuona Marks, Nikijia Marks of Austin, TX, Taylor Marks, Alesha McElivne, and Rachel Chambers all of Raleigh, NC; eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph Dauterive and Ida Rayo Dauterive; one brother: Joseph Dauterive, Jr.
Active Pallbearers are Stacey Batiste, Graylin Armstead, Prosper Charles, Jessie Broussard, Kevin Landry, and Pithias Dauterive.
Honorary Pallbearers are Quinn M. Dauterive, Grant Marks, Terry Landry, Willie Lee, Patrick Leblanc, Keith Dauterive, and William H. Hawkins, Jr.
