In loving memory of Ida Bell Ray of Wake Forest NC who was born to her parents Isabella Tilley and Howard Black on March 7, 1943. She passed away on February 12, 2026 at the age of 82 surrounded by her family.

She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Bobby Joseph Ray for 64 years. She is survived by her son Michael Ray (Tracey) of Wake Forest, along with four grandchildren: Christopher Ray (Jeannie), Daniel Ray, Joshua Geercken (Courtney), and Amanda Brown (Evan). She was blessed with eight great grandchildren: Colton, Marguertitia, Carolyn, Charlotte, Weston, Emory, John Michael, and Roman.

She worked for many years at PBM graphics as an inspector and was a faithful member of Faith Harvest.

She would always greet you with a genuine smile and when needed, a word of encouragement. She loved to laugh, loved to cook, and loved to be with her family. She was the backbone of the family, always providing equal amounts of love, care, and compassion. Above all, she loved the Lord Jesus Christ and believed in Him as her Savior and lived a life that openly demonstrated her faith in Jesus. She was dedicated to regular church attendance each Sunday until declining health made it difficult. She was an example of a life beautifully and fully lived.

We could not have asked for a better wife, mother, grandmother or great-grandmother.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 6-8 PM at Bright Funeral Home, 405 S. Main St. Wake Forest, NC 27587.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Faith Harvest Church, 4737 Willeva Dr, Wake Forest, NC 27587. Burial will follow at Ray Family Cemetery on New Light Rd.
