Ida R. Stout, 84, a resident of Summit, MS passed away on February 10, 2026.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Tangipahoa Baptist Church from 9:30 AM until services at 1 PM. Bro. Jamie Matthews, grandson, and Bro. Donald Pouns, nephew, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ida was born on December 19, 1941 to John Hart and Prude Patt. She was a member of Tangipahoa Baptist Church of Summit. She worked at Croft Metals and Pofolks in Jackson, MS. She loved going to Walmart. She loved cooking dinner on Sundays and making sure everyone ate.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather Nolan Patt; a son-in-law Joe Matthews; a great-grandson J.D. Floyd; two sisters Lillie Pouns Dickerson and Mildred Summerall; two brothers Odom and Jessie Hart; and a niece Annette Stanford.

She is survived by her children Janice (Lane) Sumerall, Lynn (Bert) Amacker, Hilda (Ray) Lofton, Paul (Romona) Fenn, Thomas Fenn, Sandy (Junior) Moore, Stephen (Bertie) Fenn, Penny (Bubba) Leach, Josh (Leslie) McKenzie,Brandy (John) Stout and Karon Sinett; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; a special friend Catherine Jordan: her beloved dog Blaze; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who knew her as MawMaw Granny.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.

The family would like to give special thanks to Mrs. Katrina Dillon for being there and Compassus Hospice nurses and staff of McComb, MS.
