In Loving Memory of Ignacio Aguilar

Ignacio Aguilar, beloved husband, father, godfather, umpa, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, in San Francisco, California. Born on September 7, 1963, in Michoacan, Mexico, Nacho lived a life full of love, joy, and passion.

He was married to Norma Avalos on September 30, 1989, in Livingston, California, and together they shared 40 wonderful years of love and companionship. Nacho was proud of his work in maintenance at United States Cold Storage, where his dedication and skills were admired by all who knew him.

A man of many passions, Nacho loved the outdoors, especially camping in Pine Crest, Lake Tahoe, and Dinky Creek. He was an avid sports fan, cheering for the Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco Giants, and the Chivas de Guadalajara. A master craftsman, he delighted in working with wood. Creating beautiful furniture, art, and small treasures with skills he originally learned from his Tio Santiago. Music was always a part of his life, with Los Bukis being a favorite, though he enjoyed many genres. Most of all, Nacho cherished his family, particularly his grandchildren, Rio and Remi, who affectionately called him "Umpa."

Nacho was preceded in death by his mother, Abigail Maldonado, and father, Jesus Aguilar. He is survived by his loving wife, Norma Aguilar; his son, Damian (Jennifer) Aguilar; his daughter, Sarah Aguilar; his grandchildren, Rio and Remi Aguilar; his five brothers and two sisters; and many loving family and friends.

Nacho's laughter, warmth, and passion for life touched everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through the love he shared, the memories he created, and the passions he inspired.

A rosary will be held on December 18th at 6:00 PM at Turlock Funeral Home, and the funeral mass will take place on December 19th at 10:00 AM at the Shrine of Saint Jude Thaddeus. Burial and a reception will follow the services. The family kindly requests that flowers be sent to Turlock Funeral Home. The family asks that you honor Nacho by spending time outdoors, enjoying music, or creating something with your hands-celebrating the things he loved most, and of course, cheering on the Chargers!

Estuvo casado con Norma Ávalos el 30 de septiembre de 1989 en Livingston, California, y juntos compartieron 40 maravillosos años de amor y compañía. Nacho se sentía orgulloso de su trabajo en mantenimiento en United States Cold Storage, donde su dedicación y habilidad eran admiradas por todos los que lo conocían.

Hombre de muchas pasiones, Nacho amaba la naturaleza, especialmente acampar en Pine Crest, Lake Tahoe y Dinky Creek. Era un gran aficionado a los deportes, apoyando con entusiasmo a los Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco Giants y las Chivas de Guadalajara. Como maestro artesano, disfrutaba trabajar la madera, creando muebles, obras de arte y pequeños tesoros con dedicación y amor. Se llevará a cabo un rosario el 18 de diciembre a las 6:00 PM en Turlock Funeral Home y el servicio memorial será el 19 de diciembre a las 10:00 AM en el Shrine of Saint Jude Thaddeus.
