FORT WORTH - Ignacio C. "Nacho" Villegas Jr., aged 89, passed away on October 10, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas, the same city where he was born on December 7, 1934. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, Texas.
Funeral service: 9:30 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2024 at Greenwood's Live Oak Chapel, located at 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, TX 76107.
Visitation and Rosary: 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Greenwood's Live Oak Chapel. Greenwood Funeral Home is assisting the family during this difficult time.
Ignacio was a loving husband to Enosencia B. Villegas, sharing 70 years of marriage filled with deep affection and mutual respect.
Throughout his life, Nacho was an avid enthusiast of golf, fishing, and NASCAR races. He also cherished the times he spent tending to his pigs. His hands were rarely still, as he was always building or fixing something, embodying the heart of a true craftsman.
A faithful member of St. Patrick Cathedral, Nacho found peace and community in his place of worship. His faith was an integral part of his life, guiding him in his daily actions and relationships.
Ignacio was preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio Villegas Sr. and Micaela C. Villegas; and his sister, Jovita Gonzales.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Enosencia; their children, Consuelo Rescendez, Catherine (Gilbert) De Leon, Anna Villegas, and Louis Villegas; and siblings, Delia Jimenez, Mary (Joe) Guerrero, Theresa Leathers, Gloria Camacho, and Stanley (Stella) Villegas.
Nacho's legacy is marked by his love for his family, his kindness, and his unwavering work ethic. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, leaving behind a void that cannot be filled. His memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories shared by those who loved him.
