Halouska Family Chaney-Reager Funeral Home and Crematory - SterlingIla Faye Wright 94, of Holyoke, Colorado passed away Saturday March 14, 2026.
A celebration of Ila’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2026, at The Julesburg Housing Authority-North View Recreation Center, 520 W. 9th Street, Julesburg, CO.
Ila Faye was born December 4th, 1931, in Lewellen, Nebraska where she spent a happy childhood growing up on the farm. She attended Garden County High School in Oshkosh, Nebraska where she graduated in 1949 as Valedictorian in her Junior year.
On December 31st, 1948, Faye married her first husband George William Atkinson. Their union blessed them with 3 daughters. Then on August 27th, 1963, Faye married her second husband Robert Lyle Wright. Their union blessed them with two more daughters. After many years living the farm life, they bought their first and only home in 1969 in the town of Julesburg where she continued living for 55 years.
Faye was known as a very kind and friendly person who always had a smile on her face. She loved working in her yard and garden where she had quite a green thumb. During the winters Faye enjoyed hobbies such as working puzzles and painting landscape pictures which she gave out to all her family to enjoy.
Faye worked for many years as a Manager of North View Apartments in Julesburg, Colorado.
Faye was preceded in death by both of her parents Wayne and Della Rook, her sister Gladys Haupt, her first husband George William Atkinson, her second husband Robert Lyle Wright, and her grandson Jason Allen Toyne.
Faye is survived by her five daughters Kathleen June Tatum, Carol Lee (Edgar) Ahrens, Connie Jean (Lonnie) Cranmore, Patricia Jo Wright, and Debra Sue Wilkerson; 12 grandchildren William Wright, James Wright, Crystal Radel, Jeremy Ahrens, Ryan Ahrens, Tyler Ahrens, Abriana Marble, Amber Nielsen, Calin Cranmore, Ashley Spencer, Dillon Wilkerson, and Destiney Rhodes. 24 great grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.
