Ilene Elizabeth Lents

Ilene E. Lents age 88 of Warren, MI passed away September 25, 2025 in Clinton Twp., MI. She was born August 9, 1937 in Detroit, MI to the late Melvin and Marion (Miller) Schoenherr. She married her high school sweetheart John Lents on August 17, 1957 in Center Line, MI, and had celebrated 63 years of marriage before his passing on November 5, 2020. Ilene's greatest joy in life was being surrounded by and spending time with her family and friends. Ilene is survived her sons John (the late Kirsten) Lents and Jim (Shannon) Lents, grandsons Mike (Amy) Lents, and Chris (Miyu) Lents, great grandsons Theo Lents and Henry Lents, and brothers Mel (Carol) Schoenherr, and Dave (Joyce) Schoenherr. She was preceded in death by her daughter Linda Lents, daughter-in-law Kirsten Lents, and a great granddaughter Sarah Catherine Lents. A memorial funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday October 23, 2025 in the Our Lady On the River Parish St. Catherines Catholic Church, Algonac. Visitation 10:30 AM Thursday until time of mass.. Arrangements by the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Algonac, MI.
