Ima Jean McRight Andries was born on August 1, 1934, in Glenmora, LA to the union of Angus McRight and Una Collins McRight. She passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on August 19, 2025, in Livingston, TX surrounded by her family. Ima worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse from 1975 to 2004.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Albert "Bill" William Andries; their son, Johnny Andries; their daughter, Karen Andries Romolo; her siblings, Walter McRight, Hattie McDaniel, Gordan McRight, Norman McRight, Bonnie McRight, and Kenneth "Sonny" McRight; and her parents.

Ima is survived by her five children, Charlotte Thornton, Keith Andries and wife Ali, Patricia Pate and husband James, Wanda Pilkington and husband Rocky, and Joseph "Danny" Andries and wife Stacy; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Cochran Funeral Home, 212 Old Groverton Rd South, Onalaska, Texas 77360, with a visitation to follow from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 826 8th Street, Glenmora, LA 71433, with Rev. Edwin Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery, Glenmora under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Travis Thornton, Colin Andries, Daniel Romolo, Joshua Romolo, Frank Morgan, Chance Andries, Nick Andries, Kaleb Andries, Jordan Hartless, and Jesse Whitten. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Edwards, Wesley Andries, Luke Thornton, and Aaron Mireles. Ushers and alternate pallbearers will be Stephen Cole, Tommy Winfrey, Daniel Jenkins, and Melven Fleming.
