Ima Dean Draper Tedder, age 88, of Daisy, Arkansas passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023.
She was born on November 22, 1934, on the Little Missouri River in Daisy, Arkansas, the daughter of Ebb and Artha Mack Draper. On December 3, 1952, she married the love of her life, Jesse Eugene “Doc” Tedder, who after 54 wonderful years of marriage preceded her in death on January 8, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Joshua Tedder; four brothers, Harold, Vernon, Bill, and Don; and four sisters, Betty Fant, Lemma Massey, Melba Kennedy, and Pat Funderburk.
She was a member of the Daisy Church of Christ. Ima was a homemaker, who raised five children and also helped raise several of her grandchildren. She enjoyed planting trees with her sister, Lemma, and she especially loved making flower arrangements.
Above all, Ima was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who loved her family with all her heart. She was most happy when all of her family gathered together to visit. Ima was truly cherished by all who knew and loved her and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, Junior and Vanessa Tedder of Langley, Keith and Debra Tedder of Star of the West, Klint and Sheila Tedder of Daisy and Eric and Carmen Tedder of Bon Aqua, Tennessee; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Devin Owens of Amity; ten grandchildren, Todd Tedder, Brett Tedder, Corey Morgan, Lacy Wolfe, Keeley Tedder, Jessica Murphy, Keasha Owens, Andy Tedder, Hope Zinzilita, and Luke Tedder; thirteen great-grandchildren with one on the way; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Blenda Draper, Joan Draper and Carol Woodall; special friend, Bob Cavner; many nieces and nephews; numerous extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2023, in the Mount Joy Cemetery in Daisy, with Harold Vaughn officiating.
Pallbearers will be Todd Tedder, Brett Tedder, Andy Tedder, Luke Tedder, Blake Tedder, and Matt Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in loving memory of Ima to Southern Christian Children’s Home, P.O. Box 649, Morrilton, Arkansas 72110.
The family wishes to extend a very special “thank you” to Danny and Kari Dougan, the nurses and staff of Dougan’s Oak Park Village, Jimmy and Wanda Jones, the nurses and staff of Glenwood Nursing Home, and CHI St. Vincent Hospital-Hot Springs, for taking such good care of our Mom.
