It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Immanuel Lorenzo Arrington Jr., known lovingly as "Zo or Lil Man" by his family and "Immy" by his friends, on August 3, 2025, in a tragic car accident at the tender age of 20. Immanuel was born on May 28, 2005, in Norfolk, Virginia, to Immanuel Lorenzo Arrington Sr. and Lakisha Beale.

Immanuel was an extraordinary young man, remembered for his infectious smile, his loving nature, and his commitment to excellence. A proud graduate of Lake Taylor High School in 2023, Immanuel had an impressive academic journey. He was recognized for scoring the highest on the Standards of Learning in 5th grade at Willard Model Elementary School and was honored as a "Move Maker" by Teens with a Purpose. He excelled in advanced placement courses during high school and chose to graduate with his class, despite the opportunity to finish early, showing his loyalty and deep bond to his peers.

Immanuel's interests were vast and diverse. He was a gifted gamer, a skill he honed in his free time, but his passion for musical instruments-especially strings-was another defining part of his life. Immanuel's love for his family and friends was unmatched, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Whether it was laughing together or Family movie/game night, his presence always brought joy.

In 2023, Immanuel chose to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force, where he was stationed at Royal Air Force Base Lakenheath in the United Kingdom. His dedication to service, like every other part of his life, was full of purpose and pride.

He is preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Lorene Spencer (Albert).

Immanuel is survived by his mother, Lakisha Beale; his father, Immanuel Lorenzo Arrington Sr.; his stepmother, Sakima Arrington; his stepfather, Joshua Tomlin; his siblings, Jaylyn Arrington, A'amariyon Fields, Kaiden Tomlin and Reese; his aunt, Emma Beale; his uncles, Myrell Spencer (Charlotte), Marshall Beale, Demetrius and Shaka Locke, Allen Liverman and Kenneth Malone; godmother, Martina Fulford; two special "aunties," Keisha Brown and Rhonda (Lomax) Powell; and one great aunt, Mary Shaw. He is also survived by a host of cousins and family members who loved and cared for him.
