Imo Jean Lothian, lovingly known as Jean, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, in
Hendersonville, North Carolina. She was born on April 10, 1935, in Goodlett, Texas, and lived a fulfilling life of 90 years. Before settling in
Hendersonville, North Carolina, she lived in Dallas, Texas from 1961 – 1964 and Cleveland, Tennessee from 1964 – 2016.
Jean dedicated her professional life to her role as a bookkeeper at Lee College in Cleveland, Tennessee, where she was admired for her meticulous nature and dedication. Beyond her career, Jean filled her days with activities that brought joy to both herself and those around her. She had a passion for cooking and baking, delighting family and friends with homemade bread and candy. Her skilled hands also expressed creativity through sewing, needlepoint, and knitting.
Jean's love for the outdoors was evident in her fondness for camping and gardening, and she possessed a zest for life that found expression in her extensive travels throughout the US with her husband in their camper. Her commitment to community and faith was unwavering, as she served as a devoted member and treasurer of the Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church from 1968 until 2015.
Preceding her in death were her beloved parents, Dallas E. Allgood (1971) and Lena Priscilla Head (1978); her husband, James Ivan Lothian, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage until his passing in 2023; her cherished granddaughter, Stella Anne Wilkie; and her siblings, Robert Lee Allgood, Beatrice Allgood Wallace, Lauretta Allgood Ramsey, and JB Allgood.
Jean leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor her memory: her devoted daughters, Kathryn Wilkie (Bryce) of
Hendersonville, North Carolina, and Ann Watts of Oceanside, California; her precious grandchildren, Lena Wilkie, Ivan Wilkie, and Faye Wilkie, all residing in
Hendersonville, North Carolina; her sister, Anna Jo Clithero of Keene, Texas; and nephews Dean Allgood (Cheryl) and Dennis Allgood, also of Keene, Texas.
A memorial service to celebrate Jean's life will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Fletcher Park Inn in
Hendersonville, NC. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

James Ivan Lothian, affectionately known as Jimmy to his family but Jim to everyone else, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2023, in
Hendersonville, North Carolina, at the age of 94. Born on January 11, 1929, in Keene, Texas, Jimmy lived a life marked by devotion to family, service to his country, and a deep appreciation for nature and music.
In his early years, Jim served his country with honor as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1948 to 1952, where he developed a passion for music and played the trumpet. Following his military service, he pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from North Texas State College.
Jim's professional career was defined by his meticulous nature and dedication as an Auditor and CPA for the City of Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he worked diligently to uphold the integrity of the city's finances.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jim was a man of many talents and interests. A lifelong lover of photography, he took great joy in capturing life's moments and developing his own film. His hobbies were varied and included being a Ham Radio Operator, traveling throughout the US with his wife in their camper, hiking along peaceful trails, and tending to his garden. A voracious reader, he found solace in books and shared his love of learning with all who knew him.
Jim was also a dedicated member of the Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he served faithfully as treasurer from 1968 until 2015. In his later years, he became affiliated with the Hendersonville Seventh-day Adventist Church, continuing his commitment to his faith community.
Jim is preceded in death by his beloved parents, William Ivan Lothian and Mary Authorine Sanders; his sister, Betty Allen; and his cherished granddaughter, Stella Anna Wilkie.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 61 years, Imo Jean Lothian, whose companionship was his greatest joy. He is also survived by his loving daughters, Kathryn Wilkie (Bryce) of
Hendersonville, North Carolina, and Ann Watts of Oceanside, California. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Lena Wilkie, Ivan Wilkie, and Faye Wilkie, all residing in
Hendersonville, North Carolina.
Jim's life was a testament to his unwavering love for his family, his steadfast commitment to service, and his unquenchable curiosity about the world around him. He will be remembered with deep affection and missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
