Imogene Weston, 95, of Quincy, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. Imogene was born February 21, 1930, in Hannibal, MO to Arthur and Olivia (Boge) Long. She was married to J. Bryan Weston on April 6, 1956, in Quincy, IL. J preceded her in death on January 28, 2021. Imogene and J. Bryan shared a special bond with their niece and nephew, Ronald "Kim" and Rhonda Tryon, whom they adored as if they were their own children. This joy was further multiplied with the arrival of their great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Survivors include a niece in-law, Laura Tryon, of Bloomington, IL; two great-nieces, Lindsay Sexton (Tyler) of Bloomington, IL and Kristi Tryon of Frisco, TX; one great-nephew, Brooks Tryon (Abby) of Elmhurst, IL; two great-great nephews, Ty and Luke Sexton, both of Bloomington, IL; and five great-great-nieces, Emma Sexton, Lucy Sexton and Ava Sexton of Bloomington, IL, and Quinn Tryon and Camille Tryon of Elmhurst, IL. She is also survived by a special goddaughter, Wanda Sue Dix (David A.) and their children, Elizabeth Dix and Gwen Little (Sonny). Imogene was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother-in-law, Ron Tryon; one sister, Emma Rosa "Rosie" Tryon; one nephew, Ronald "Kim" Tryon; and one niece, Rhonda Tryon. After graduating from Quincy High School in 1947 and attending Quincy College, Imogene embarked on a 43-year career as a purchasing agent at Moorman Manufacturing, from which she retired in 1992. Imogene's faith and dedication to service shone brightly at Trinity United Church of Christ, where she served as an elder, held a seat on the board of trustees, and participated actively on the church loan committee. Her involvement was a testament to her unwavering faith and her belief in the power of community. An intellectual and avid reader, Imogene's love of politics and history was evident in the diverse range of books she devoured throughout her life. Her love for the St. Louis Cardinals and Mizzou football was infectious, bringing energy and fun to every game day. Imogene also found joy in her travels to the Lake of the Ozarks and the Wisconsin Dells, where she made countless memories. A graveside service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 19, 2026, at O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy, IL. Pastor Tim White and Chaplain Josh Vahle will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ. Imogene was such a pleasant woman! I always enjoyed talking with her when she came to get her hair done. She always kept up on what was going on in the world!
