The former, Ina Jane Whitman was born on July 7, 1932, in Prairie Farm, Wisconsin, the daughter of Emil and Edna (Berg) Whitman. She graduated from Prairie Farm High School and began working in the office at Bendix. She married the love of her life, Keith Kramer, on April 25, 1953, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa. Keith preceded her in death on December 21, 2015.
Ina was active in a women’s bowling league, Friend's Circle Club, and the Viking Club. While at Hope Creek, she faithfully attended biweekly services. Ina had a true green thumb, nurturing plants both inside and outside her home. She was an exceptional seamstress, enjoyed oil painting, and loved to cook. Her children all agreed that her fried chicken was unlike any other. Growing up and spending time in the countryside of Wisconsin inspired her love of baking, especially fresh bread and cinnamon rolls. She treasured time with her dogs and cherished family vacations spent fishing in Wisconsin.
Ina is survived by her children, Richard (Laurie Beardsley) Kramer of Moline, Illinois, Rhonda (Ron) Schuldt of Rock Island, Illinois, Michael Kramer of West Taylor Ridge, Illinois, and Sheila Ristow of Moline, Illinois; grandchildren, Shawn Welch, Nathan Kramer, Jaymie (Eric) Clark, Bryan (Melissa) Schuldt, Zachary Schuldt, Ethan Kramer, Kate Mahoney-McGuire, Seth Kramer, and Emma Kramer; great-grandchildren, Aiden Welch, Zaida Welch, Blade Welch, Ella Schuldt, and Everson Schuldt; sister, Pat Martin of Davis, California; brother, Clifford Whitman of Prairie Farm, Wisconsin; and many nieces, nephews, and friends whom loved her dearly. She was preceded by her parents, Emil and Edna Whitman; siblings, Robert (Violet) Whitman and LeRoy (Carol) Whitman; sibling-in-laws, Paul Martin and Judy Whitman; and a great-grandchild.
