Benson Funeral & Cremation ServicesIna Michelle Lang (ee-nuh), 50, was tragically taken from us due to a heinous act of gun violence on February 6, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Born on November 16, 1975, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Ina lived a life defined by her dedication to family, her career, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and vibrant spirit.
Ina’s journey was one of resilience and perseverance. While raising her two daughters as a single mother, she pursued an education and earned an associate degree in accounting from Everest University. This achievement reflected her dedication to building a brighter future for herself and her family.
Her professional career was equally inspiring. Ina began working at Universal Studios as a high school job before joining Bank of American for almost 20 years of her career. Over the years, she advanced from teller to senior teller to relationship banker and was currently training for a new promotion for her future. Her commitment to excellence was evident in all that she pursued.
Ina was deeply loved by her family. She is survived by her loving mother, Pamela Abreu; her devoted husband, Michael Lang Jr., and her cherished daughters: Victoria Gonzalez; Alexis Moreno Gonzalez (Marvin Moreno Gonzalez); and Ellianna Lang. She also leaves behind her sisters Lisa Abreu and Alyson Abreu Mercado (Eduardo Mercado); as well as many others who were touched by Ina’s warmth and generosity. She was predeceased by her father, Edwin Abreu.
Ina had a profound love for animals and shared a special bond with her dogs Max and Jack and her bunny Speedy. She found joy in the water or on the boat with the dogs, family, friends, and neighbors - Ina and Mike loved creating cherished memories that will be treasured by those who were fortunate enough to be invited out for a day on the lake with her. Ina wasn’t just a passenger on our boat, either. She truly enjoyed the thrill of boating. But Ina also appreciated the simple things in life like taking afternoon naps or just simply enjoying a meal with her loved ones.
Known for being both kind-hearted and sassy, Ina had an extraordinary ability to connect with people. Her kindness knew no bounds; she was often described as "a mother to all," offering guidance and support to anyone in need. Ina believed in making the world a better place one conversation at a time—a reflection of the compassionate spirit that defined her life.
The family will hold a memorial service to honor Ina’s memory. Ina’s Family extends their heartfelt gratitude to family and friends for their unwavering compassion and support during this time.
May Ina Michelle Lang’s memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her and serve as a lasting reminder of the love she shared so freely.
