Inez Taylor Goodwin

Inez Taylor Goodwin, 84, of Stanardsville, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2010.

She was born on September 13, 1925, in Wytheville, Virginia, the daughter of the late Robert Lee Taylor and Mary Wright Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Gerald O. Goodwin Sr.; a son, Robert Patton Goodwin; a grandson, Carl Mitchell Goodwin; and six siblings.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Dillard of Stanardsville; four sons, Gerald Goodwin Jr. and his wife, Tammy, of Madison, Michael Goodwin and his wife, Lynn, of Heathsville, Curtis Goodwin and his wife, Linda, of Barboursville, and Greg Goodwin and his wife, Cassie, of Stanardsville; six grandchildren, Lora Dillard, Gerald Goodwin III, Jennifer Foster, Robert Goodwin, Richard Goodwin, and Jake Goodwin; a step-grandchild, Miranda Shifflett; five great-grandchildren; and a loyal pet, Calypso.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with interment at Rose Park Cemetery conducted by the Reverend Steven Whetzel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service.
