Obituary of Ing Sie Chan

Ing Sie Chan, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Philadelpha, PA at 8:48 AM on December 24, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on October 24, 1940 in Cambodia to Hai Chan and Heak Ngov, and lived a life defined by kindness, strength and devotion to family. She immigrated to the United States with her children in 1992 and dedicated her time to helping raise her grandchildren. Ing was known for her contagious smile and love of sweets and iced coffee. When she wasn't traveling and seeing the world, she loved to spend her time watching Chinese dramas and reading the newspaper in her leisure time. She leaves behind countless memories that will be cherished forever.

Above all else, she loved her family. She was the proud mother of eight children, a devoted grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and a beloved great grandmother to nine great-grandchildren. Her home and heart were always open, and her love will continue to guide generations to come.

Ing is survived by her sons: Michael Chan (Linda), Hau Chan (Seillakit), Simon Chan (Keang), Be Chan (Huong); daughters Megan Chan, Lee Tran (Randi), Sandy Tang (Lil) and Eng Nhu (Tai); Grandchildren Gina (Hien), Julie (Steven), Sunny (Phillip), Amy (Kevin), Richie, Christopher (Naomi), Jenny, Cathy, Emily, Ryan, Lana, Dylan and Molly; Great Grandchildren Mia, Jet, Max, Ava, Matthew, Zac, Jason, Hailey and Ivy, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Fang Si Chan, Wai Si Chan, Hui Si Chan, Yong Si Chan, Yen Chan, Chhy Chan and Huong Chan. She is also survived by Sum Wah Chan (widow of Wai), Seng Chan (widow of Yen), Caroline Chao (widow of Chhy) and Huong Chan (widow of Meng). She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Viewing and Services will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 5 to 8:30 PM and Monday, December 29, 2025 from 9 to 11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N.
