Inge Chiesa

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Inge Chiesa, who departed this life peacefully, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family.

Inge was predeceased by her beloved husband of 72 years, John Chiesa, in 2023. Together, they built a life centered on family and faith, raising children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who were their greatest joy and pride.

She is survived by her sons Jeff and his wife Jan, and Gary, whose wife Carol predeceased her. Inge was a cherished grandmother to Donna, Matthew (and his wife Stephanie), and Kristen (and her husband Benjamin), and a proud great-grandmother to Taylor, Genevieve, and Burton-each one a reflection of the love she poured into her family.

A longtime resident of Ridgefield, New Jersey for over 67 years, Inge was the heart of her home and community. She found immense joy in cooking for her family, bringing everyone together around the table for meals filled with warmth, stories, and laughter. Her kitchen was her sanctuary, and through it, she nourished generations both literally and emotionally.

Among her greatest joys was spending time at the family's home in Pennsylvania, where she lovingly gathered her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren-creating memories in a place that meant so much to her and to all who were lucky enough to share it with her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Avenue, Ridgefield, NJ 07657.
On Friday, September 19, the family will gather at 10:30 AM at the funeral home before proceeding to Garden of Memories in Washington Township, where Inge will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, John.

Inge's spirit lives on in the meals she shared, the traditions she cherished, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
