Inge Friedrich Obituary
Inge Friedrich, age 84, passed away on February 1, 2026, at the Norwich Rehabilitation Center.
Born on February 1, 1942, in Austria, Inge was the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Josephine (Koppel) Friedrich. She pursued her education in Germany at the University of Cologne, where she earned her degree in medicine and went on to become a Doctor of Internal Medicine.
Inge was an excellent and deeply committed family doctor, known for her intelligence, independence, and strong will. She dedicated many years of her life to caring for others through her medical practice, earning the trust and respect of her patients and colleagues alike.
Over the last thirty years of her life, Inge devoted her heart and soul to her greatest passion-dogs. She poured her love and energy into rescuing them, caring for them, and finding them safe, loving homes. This mission became her life's calling, and she willingly sacrificed much of her own comfort and time to ensure the well-being of animals who needed her. Her compassion and dedication changed countless lives, both human and canine.
Inge will be remembered as a fiercely independent woman with a strong spirit, a caring healer, and a tireless advocate for animals.
