Ingrid Leask (Anderson), 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by love with her family by her bedside on February 13, 2026 in Sugar Grove, Illinois. Ingrid was a long-time resident of Aurora, Illinois.

Ingrid is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ken Leask; her children: Barbara (Michael) Sullivan, Linda Leask, JoAnn (Christopher) Hess and Scott Todd; her grandchildren: Douglas (Kelly) Sullivan, Alex Leask (Kelly), Shannon (Zach) Miller, Erik Patzka (Amy), Colleen (Phillip Jeffery) Leathers, Taylor Zimmerman (Alegra), Matthew Sullivan, Sean Zimmerman, Justin Zimmerman and Avery Diaz; her great-grandchildren: Trystan, Leiva, Ava, Carter, Juliana and Keaton; her brothers: David (Jan) Anderson and James (Susan) Anderson.

Ingrid was preceded in death by her parents: Robert C. Anderson and Roselyn Anderson (Schmalenberger); her son, Brian Leask; and her sisters: Marta Butts and Pamela Wagner.

Born on August 6, 1944, in Belleville, Illinois, Ingrid graduated from Belleville Township High School and attended Millikin University until her senior year. She later earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy from Aurora University. She retired from Shorr Paper after many years working as an accountant.

Ingrid was a strong woman who led a vibrant and active life. She had a lifelong passion for fitness and staying active. Whether in her role as the director of "Trim-and-Tone" at the YWCA , teaching exercise classes, working out in her home gym or walking in her neighborhood, she enjoyed exercising and staying active. She chaired the Aurora College Faculty Wives Club for several years, in addition to serving as treasurer for various organizations, including the Aurora Police Department's Citizen Police Academy.

Ingrid was known as having a fun-loving personality. She enjoyed many years visiting amusement parks with her family, especially riding front seat of a roller coaster. She also loved to shop, travel, visit the casinos, and enjoy the sun by the ocean or a pool.

Above all, Ingrid will be remembered for her contagious smile, strength, kindness and love for her family.

Heartfelt thank you to the staff at Prairie Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care and Three Oaks Hospice who cared for Ingrid during her last few weeks.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or the dementia charity of your choice.
