Iona M Wampner of Licking, MO passed away on October 21, 2025 at the age of 101 years old. She was the daughter of the late George Riley and Ethyl Roberts Baldwin. To this union was 2 brothers, George and Riley and one sister, Doris Anderson which all have preceded Iona in death.
Iona will be deeply missed by those who sincerely loved her. She loved reading books and watching her flowers grow, writing letters and reading her devotions daily. Iona was a member of the St John's evangelical Lutheran Church in St Johns Indiana. This is where she married the love of her life Mahlon Wampner on November 7, 1943. He passed in 2009. To this union were 5 children to which 4 of them have preceded Iona in death. David, Kenny, Robert and Teresa. 2 grandchildren Amber Wampner and Adam Featherstone.
Surviving Iona is one son, Gerald and his wife Cynthia of Licking, MO, Daughter in law Betty Wampner and Judith Wampner, grandchildren: Gerald jr. Jeff Wampner, Dawn Bean and husband Bobby, Heather Davis and husband Mike, Eric Wampner, David Wampner Jr, Dustin and Wife Whitney, Gregory and wife Stacy Featherstone and Gary Featherstone. Numerous great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces. Iona had 1 sister and law Arlene Mazura of Indianapolis Indiana.
There will be graveside services on Friday October 24, 2025, at 11:00 am at St John's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
