Funeral services for Ira Paul Graham of Hessmer will begin at 10:00am on Friday, June 23, 2023, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (3659 Main St, Hessmer, LA 71341). Interment will follow at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Mausoleum.
Ira Paul Graham, 77 of Hessmer, Louisiana, was called home on Monday, June 19, 2023 surrounded by his loving family after a brief battle with brain cancer.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Linda Deville Graham; two children, Shane (Kristi) Graham of Youngsville and Tricia (Richard Jr.) Redmon of Bunkie; he was also a proud Paw Paw of seven grandchildren; Cristy, Lauren, Maggie, TJ, Tyson, Molly, Mason; and several great-grandchildren.
Ira was preceded in death by his parents, Danny Paul & Marie Castete Graham.
Ira was decorated Vietnam veteran where he heroically served his country in the United States Army from 1965-1967. He earned several awards for his service including the Purple Heart Medal. Ira was employed at Dresser Industries for 37 years and retired in 2006. He enjoyed fishing, arrowhead hunting, a good meal, and spending time with family.
The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the medical professionals at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Encompass Rehab Hospital, Guardian Hospice, and Valley View Nursing Home.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 5:00pm-9:00pm. A rosary will be said at 6:00pm at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura (6608 Porterie St. Mansura, LA 71350). Visitation will resume at 8:00am until 9:45am on Friday Morning.
Those honored to serve as Pallbearers: Louis Charrier, Terry Bordelon, Shane Graham, Richie Redmon, TJ Redmon, and Tyson Redmon; honorary pallbearers, Cullen Descant, Mason Graham, Ronan Crabb, and Talen Ware.
