Ira Kessler Obituary
Ira was a member of the First Baptist Church in Savannah and worked for the School District for years. You could always count on him to make students' day better or find him in the gym playing basketball.
Ira enjoyed making people laugh and always had a joke to tell. He was a fan of NASCAR and the West Virginia Mountaineers. He took pride in everything he did, especially being a father figure to his nephew, Sammy.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Roxann Hoyt of Savannah and nephew, Sammy (Chole) Hoyt of Savannah. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Private family interment will be at a later date. Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home of Savannah is in charge of local arrangements.
