Irene Apperson, age 71 passed away surrounded by the love of her family and friends on March 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and deep connection with those who knew her.

Irene was a devoted wife to her husband of 17 years, Steve, and a loving mother to her daughter Kathy. She was a proud grandmother to Lillian and Cameron, who brought her joy. She was also eagerly awaiting the arrival of her great-grandson, a blessing she looked forward to with excitement and love. Furthermore, she is survived by her brothers Steven and Craig, and her sister Evelyn.

For many years, Irene worked as a cosmetologist, where she not only enhanced the beauty of her clients, but also served as a trusted confidante and friend. Her chair was a place of comfort, laughter, and heartfelt conversation.

Irene will be remembered as a wonderful friend and a deeply devoted loved one. Her kindness, strength, and genuine care for others will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Memorial Services will be held 8:00pm Thursday April 2, 2026 at Myrtle Beach Funeral Home, 4505 Hwy 17 Bypass South, Myrtle Beach SC. 29577. The family will receive friends from 7:00pm till 8:00pm Prior to the services.
