Irene Campbell, a beloved member of the Kettering community and a cherished figure among her family and friends, passed away on March 15, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on March 4, 1934, in Jackson, Kentucky, Irene was a vibrant individual known for her feisty spirit and deep love for life.
Her educational journey began at Jackson High School, where she imbued her early years with knowledge and enthusiasm. After completing her studies, Irene pursued a successful career as a payroll accountant at Erco, where her meticulous attention to detail and dedication to her work left a lasting impression on her colleagues.
Irene was not just defined by her professional accomplishments; she also had a rich personal life filled with hobbies and interests. She found joy in music and dancing, often sharing these passions with friends. Traveling was another significant aspect of her life, with many fond memories created during cruises alongside her late husband, Russell, with whom she experienced numerous adventures.
Irene is survived by her son-in-law, Christopher Morano; grandsons, Jeremy and Nicholas (Shannon) Morano; and great-grandchildren, Max and Avery Morano. She will also be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews who cherished her tremendously.
Irene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell; her parents, John and Ida Turner; her daughter, Carolyn Morano; and her siblings, Lorraine, Lois, Rose, Belva, Virgie, and Johnny. Her legacy of warmth, kindness, and vivacity will forever resonate within the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
