In Loving Memory of Irene Franck June 02, 1942-July 14, 2025
Irene Franck's remarkable journey began on June 2, 1942, in her beloved homeland of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She was the eldest of eight children born to loving parents, Therese Pierre-Paul and Delino Morisseau. From a young age, Irene displayed deep responsibility, compassion, and resilience - qualities that would come to define her life. She lovingly helped raise her siblings: sisters Mirelle, Marie Claude, Josette, and Bincesse, and brothers Charlemagne (deceased) and Moliere.
While living in Haiti, Irene attended school and dedicated herself to caring for her family. It was during this time that she met and married the love of her life, Lucien Franck. Together, they made the courageous decision to migrate to New York, guided and supported by her late aunt, Fitane Pierre-Paul.
Upon settling in New York, Irene began working as a housekeeper at New Rochelle Hospital, while Lucien took a job as a custodian. They built a life rooted in love, hard work, and devotion. Irene and Lucien became proud parents of three children: their son Patterson (deceased in 2022), and daughters Shirley and Sandy (deceased in 2014).
Midway through her life's journey, Irene found great fulfillment working as a housekeeper for Peter and Connie Mogul for 20 years, and later at the Hilton Rye Brook Hotel. Her strong work ethic, dependability, and warm spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
Irene embodied the true spirit of a Haitian immigrant - proud of her heritage, deeply committed to tradition and culture, and a firm believer in the power of education. She instilled these values in her children and lived her life with unwavering strength, independence, and grace.
Family was at the heart of everything Irene did. She found joy in gathering with her siblings and had a special passion for cooking traditional Haitian cuisine - meals that brought everyone together and kept her culture alive in every dish.
Irene is survived by her loving daughter, Shirley Franck-Sase,and her four cherished grandchildren: Kalem Franck, Madison Daniels, Morgan Daniels, and Stephanie Truss-Sase. She is also survived by her devoted sisters: Mirelle Romelus, Marie Claude Laurent, Josette Rickets, and Bincesse Monfleury; her brother, Moliere Nonfleuryus; and her dear cousins: Gertrude Pierre-Paul, Sophonie Joinville, Riviere Pierre-Paul, Reynold Pierre-Paul, Anouka Pierre-Paul, Faulty Lubin, Ramil Saint Clair, Boniface Lacroix, and Agilele Lacroix.
She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews: Casandre Laurent, Erika Laurent-Carr, Bobby Laurent, Wilfred Romelus, Jean Nonfleuryus, Sean Solitare, Dana Solitare, Nancy Morisseau, Charlene Morisseau, Emmanuel Morisseau,Richy Morisseau, Fred Morisseau, Charline Morisseau, Steve Morisseau, and Kamly Morisseau.
